The PediatricXpress system provides pediatric practices with the ability to export patient data either for an individual patient or the patient population. The format exported is in Consolidated-Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) document(s) for most data elements as well as Comma Separated Values (CSV). This feature is restricted to administrative users of the pediatricXpress system. To export electronic health information for a patient or all patients, an administrator user would need to go “practice admin” then click on the bar chart icon and then click on “Export CCD and Complete Patient Record” (in the CCDA section). From this section, the user has the ability to export one patient record or the patient population.
C-CDA
Consolidated-Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) document(s) is a xml file that provides both structured and unstructured data on patients. The C-CDA file provides machine readable data intended for automated data processing.
CSV
A comma-separated values (CSV) file is a delimited text file that uses a comma to separate values. Each line of the file is a data record. Each record consists of one or more fields, separated by commas. The use of the comma as a field separator is the source of the name for this file format.
